Exploring Nashville on Engagement Portrait Sessions
There are a few great reasons to plan an engagement portrait session with your photographer. First of all it's a great chance to get to know each other and for you to get used to my style of exploring locations and mixing in posed shots and candids. Second, its a chapter in your life and you should document it. I love the few photos I have of my parents before they were married and your children will too. Also, these photos can come in handy for you in the lead up to your wedding. Some couples use them to decorate a website that they send guests with directions, some use engagement portraits for "save the date" announcements, some make slideshow for their rehearsal dinners that start with a section for childhood, then dating, and finally engagement portraits when suddenly the photos look a little more professional. I regularly see photos I took at engagement sessions used to decorate tables at the wedding reception or used in the guests sign-in-book.
My engagement portrait sessions are 2 hour blocks of time and couples can change outfits and locations as many times as they would like to squeeze into their session block. They usually get 200-300 edited images delivered on a gallery site where they can view the photos, order prints, and download the hi-resolution files directly to their phone or computer.
